I also purchased a set of long tube headers from Mike for my coupe. I plan to undertake a simular project as Jammer did back in July of 2007...

That is to install the headers and use a Y-pipe and reducer to connect it to the stock exhaust for now. Swap to a dual pipe system with performance mufflers when I can afford it.
My questions is: What difficulties should I expect when connecting two 2" pipes to a single 1.75" pipe using multiple band clamps? I've already purchased one band clamp from Mike. Should I order three more? What other parts will I need? Will the pipes fit inside each other. How tight should they be? Do I need to prep the mettle? Is it really just mettle to mettle? No high-temp grease, glue or something?
Can those of you who have attempted such a task, comment on the details (the nitty-gritty) of such an job. It's 23° outside at the moment, so the shorter my learning curve the better. I would like to learn from your mistakes and hear about your results.
Setup: 67 Mustang, mostly stock 200, C4, newly upgraded electrical system, TIF Module w/ original dizzy, blaster 2 coil. Silver color, ceramic coated headers.
