Are the new FSPP headers available yet? I am like stalling on the mechanic (the dude who is gonna rebuild my engine) as long as i can so i can get some fspp headers ...

Not yet. They are taking much longer than expected to get the proto type built. I have been working with the president of the company and he passed the info along to their shop forman. Well last week while I was at SEMA, I meet with both of them. The shop forman said he could not build the headers the way I wanted them. So this past Monday, I stopped over to see why.

Seems the president did not communicate my specs correctly, to his shop forman and they got everything all switched around. To the point of making them impossible to do. So I went into their shop, and showed the shop forman exactly how I wanted them done. He said it would be no problem (now that he knows what I wanted in the first place). The proto type should be ready next week.

Then I just need to test fit it to a few different applications to make sure its exactly right before we proceed with full production. Hopefully they will be ready in a few more weeks. I'll see if they can get a few sets done ASAP, as I have a few customers in the same boat. Sorry for the delays.

If your really in a pinch, e-mail me and let me know the application (model, year, engine size, and starter location). If I feel fairly confident the new design will fit, I'll have them make up a set (fully welded) and get one out to you ASAP. BTW, if we go this route and they don't fit, you can return them.

Yup. Sounds like Murhpy's at it again. You'd be surprised how much info gets lost between the designer and the fabricator (after being filtered by salesmen, foremen, supervisors, etc). It boggles the mind. The more links in the communication chain, the more chance to introduce errors.

Sounds like they got it all sorted out.

Mike- How will these compare to the Pacemakers in terms of performance? I'm trusting that the fit will be of the same quality. And they'll both fit my car.

Basically what we are doing is using the exact same setup for the back three cylinders as the Pacemakers. This will give the starter clearance the Pacemakers are so well known for on the high starters, which most of us have.

The Pacemakers don't fit the low mount starters because of the collector clearance on the front three tubes. Therefore, we are moving the collector outward approximately one inch, which will clear. This has been tested on a members 250 falcon already.

Then we are going to reshape the number one cylinder to match the way it exits from the head so that it matches the way the Clifford header is bent. This will give more clearance for Alt and A/C units. Which is the best part of the Clifford header design.

Next, the headers will be shortened (cut off) just after the collectors and a flange will be added for easy installation. This also allows the to be used on Fox bodies, which the Pacemakers won't fit.

So to put it simply, we are combining the best features of three different headers to yield one dual out header that will fit most, if not all, applications. For single out exhaust, just use a y-pipe.
