Thunderbird Fuel Injection

a friend of mine is looking to buy a 97 thunderbird to use for body parts for his car. the car is a 6 cyl and i was thinking about how i could prolly get the fuel injection set up for free. ive read about installing a batch fire fi system from a gm on a slant six but i dont know much of anything about a ford system.

has anyone done a swap like this on their inline? is this system batch fire or sequential? im interested in this because i can get most of the parts for free so i was curious as to how the system might be adapted to work on my slant six. any help would be appreciated, thanks.

96-97' thunderbird 3.8's have Sequential fire injection and DIS. You would need the setup off an older Distributor 3.8L to make it work on a straight six. 91-93 would be the best setup as they are MAF style computers and still have the distributor.

hmmm that could sorta work out nicely.......with a dizzy from a aussie 200 with a bushing to run it in a 200.....
