I just lost first gear in my 57',
One of the light duty 3 speeds,the one with hardly any tail shaft housing,
(you can hold it in one hand)
I have on the shelf a "next generation" 3 speed out of a 61'-65' ford
pickup that I planned to install,this tran's output is a yoke head.
I will require the type of drive shaft that has the sliding splined yoke as
opposed to the one piece unit I am using.
Question: will a two piece sliding type drive shaft from a 61'-65' pickup
(ford) solve the problem of installing that vintage trans into a 57'-60'
ford pickup.
