Turbo exhaust sound

Hey - what are you guys with turbo sixes doing for post-turbo exhaust - mufflers? Straight pipes? How does it sound?

Are there any sound clips on YouTube you can point us to to get an idea?

Im running a striaght 3.5" back to a Dynomax Muffler, then splitting it into dual 3" over the axle and to the back corners. I kinda like the way it sounds. With the window down, it is reminiscent of a turbo diesel with no muffler. Ill see if I can get a video or it sometime in the near future (after this weekend) and show you.

I had the muffler off of mine today to modify a bracket. Took it for a drive, was disappointed at how industrial the engine sounded. With a few RPM on it the sound got better, but wasn't the music of a supra or even a rattly Cummins. It didn't sound bad if I wound it out, but still no music.

Kelly's Falcon is also using a 3.5" pipe all the way out to the rear bumper where a Dynamax Bullet muffler is installed in basically the stock location.

The best way to describe the sound is to say that it's "airy". There's no real idividual cylinder type of sound. At idle there it has a "pop" for each cyl. but once under boost, it sounds like it's suckin' & blowin' air!

I love how the acceleration on that thing is so linear - no crazy launches or nose bobbing at the gear shift. Makes 11 seconds flat look way too easy. Inspiring. Couldn't hear the exhaust note too well - that turbo moves some air.
