What do ya'll think? Saw a Garrett t3 in the paper the other day----for 200 bucks...Didn't even call on it. Right now I am looking for that T-5 and the right rear gears. Probably will regret it, but I need to focus on getting this thing running, first things first.

Would like to hear what you all think.

Where did you find the intake? That looks like what I need to make what I have in mind work.

Are the runners all bolted on?

The intake came off of a 1.9 Festiva with SEFI....but I can't remember what year..I really should write this stuff down. I think it was a 96 but they came on other four cylinder vehicles as well, escort, focus,etc... At any rate I have two of them and my plan is to cut the tail end off of one and the throttle body end off the other and splice'em to make a long throttle body intake with 6 plenums. They are not lined up as of yet so what you see in the picture is the manifold held up with spring-clamps.

As far as cutting off the intake---well, I have a tiger saw but i thought my abrasive cut-off saw would make a smoother cut and so I did it by taking off my shield---and using plenty of protective clothing, a really stout pair of goggles..Not the smartest thing I have ever done and I certainly would not recommend doing it that way. For the final cut I took it to a machinist and he milled it flat. Once I get everything in place, make a flange for it, and get studs where I want them I will bolt in the manifold. In the mean time I am working on another head and hooking up a 2v Holley.
