Well, it would appear that the ticking that started in the engine is worn valve guides. Combine the noise with alot of oil vapor and it all makes sense. I will verify in full soon-I adjusted the valves and the noise has stayed on-also put in new header gasket. I want to go with the oversize valves at this point and I think I recall the ones recommended being chevy 202/194? Please correct me if I am wrong and let me know what else I should need. Will my current retainers/springs work with this mod as well? I have an aquantaince that runs a high-po machine shop so that part is easy. this is still the 200 stock head btw.
