valve stem seals

i orederd valve stem seals fro my 200 6,but then i got thinking,if i can use V8 valve spring retainers on 6cyl valve springs,then the seals from a V8 should fit? because i have a bunch of seals laying around fro my 289,302 and 351W that i already paid for,

Howdy Back:

Whoa!!!. The only V8 retainers you can use on a 200 six are the very early 221 and 260, '62 and earlier. Only these V8s used the smaller valve stem diameter of 5/16". Later V8s 260/ 289/302s all have a valve stem diameter of 3/8".

Buy valves stem seals for your engine.
