Hey everybody, I have an old school tri-1bbl Edelbrock intake that you mount on the log intake of the 200. It requires some machining (one hole in the top towards the end of the log) to make it work and I have a head that someone started on. This thing is UBER-COOL and unique. I really want to put it into my 67 Fairlane but I don't have a clue about what might be required to make it run...ie. carbs required, any gaskets, mounting brackets etc. Anyway, it appears that the linkage is all there and the thing looks like its new. It is an Edelbrock F361. I have already emailed Edelbrock to see if they know anything so I'm waiting for them to respond. I tend to trust you guys more than some tech at the company so any info would be great. I am adding some pics of it if they help. It's dusty and has wasp nests in it so it'll require some cleaning but doesn't appear damaged at all.

If you want to re-post them, that fine as long as they are downsized to an acceptable size.

look up the offy it's close. I think yours uses two plates with two holes that bolt up from under the log. bolt it up then drill the holes for the outer carbs. get some glass bowl holleys to finish it off 8)

or... webers for ease of tuning

it's very cool, I have a edelbrock valve cover that sold me on the six 8)

dlowe 402 - have a look at this link :

http://www.geocities.com/hotrod_inline6/

specifically the page
'making the falcon fly part 1' and part 2

has a nice photos and instructions on installing the edelbrock tri power manifold .

a real blast from the past as its dated march 1960 -

have alook at the rest of the links as well - all really informative stuff on the ford six.

Thanks for the link gb500. That really does explain a lot and that's some nostalgia for ya. I never would have thought this thing could go back to 1960. Makes me wanna use it even more.

BTW, It will go on a 200 so if you guys think the Webers would be enough for it, I might go for that. I like the tune-ability and I am kind of on a budget. I still need paint,, interior, suspension parts, blah, blah, blah...the list goes on.

Also, jamyers, I am about 30 miles south of Austin.

4 INFO!!! The Lonestar Round-up car show is going on next weekend here in Austin, TX. Lot's of great old cars, hot rods, resto-mods, rat rods, etc. We could really use a showing of some I6's. There will be cruise nights Friday and Saturday on S. Congress. If anyone can make it, it is usually a lot of fun.

hey no problem -
not sure if you seen this but this is the link for the tri power carbs discussion .
http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45570

if you wade through all that should clue you up with the carbs.

i would have thought about a total of 350 cfm (at a two barrel rating ) for the 3 carbs would be enough for a 200ci- just a guess though.

O.K. This is pretty much what I expected out of them. Here is the email reply I got back today:

"Unfortunately, we do not have any information about this manifold anymore because it has been discontinued for 20 years or more. Thanks.

Ray Garcia
Technical Department
Edelbrock Corporation"

Now, I knew it had probably been discontinued for some time now but I did expect at least a "Thanks for your interest in one of our products. I wish you luck in your search." Or something encouraging me to continue my quest for nostalgic dreams. But hey, there's no bottom line in that.

This is why I have turned to people like you. You guys keep these old things going and that is great. I hope to be able to show you all the results of your help here in the coming days...months...years? However long it takes.

Keep the heritage alive and maybe I'll even make "old Man Edelbrock smile"...Where ever he may be.

Do you have a link to the roundups webpage?

Here is the link to the Lonestar Roundup. It is going on all this weekend. Usually a metric ton of cars.

Should be a good time.

I am unable to make the show as well due to work. However, because of my job I was able to check out the cars on the S. Congress cruise last night. Really Cool! The area they are cruising and parking has all kinds of funky shops, restaurants and bars that really fit the atmosphere. There was just about anything you could imagine. I wasn't able to get up close and look at details much, or talk owners but I was able to do a lot of gawking. Lots of T-Buckets, Model A's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's vintage cars. Everything from rusty old Rat-Rods to Mint Condition to Custom Show cars. I think I might take off work next year to go down there and see more.

for the sake of nostalgia; I'd go with triple holley 1904s and chrome mushroom air cleaners, either bell-type or louvered. Just like on the picture by RetroSpeed.

That's cool! Some serious vintage speed equipment for our sixes. Keep an eye out for an Eldebrock valve cover.

The best carbs to use are Webers. The Holley 1904's are by far the best looking and most nostalgic carburetors you'll ever find, but they are a serious pain in the A$$ getting them to run right.

Good luck,
