A little off the topic but is there a market for vintage Mustangs down under
I have an all original steel fatory air 1970 Mustang fastback for sale currently set up as a muscle car with a 351 windsor but I also have the #'s matching 302 and all the stock parts right down to the original spare tire & hub caps.

There is some market, but it's at both ends - not very much in the middle. An original 65-73 in unrestored excellent condition will find a buyer, as will a barely-running project car. I don't know how your vehicle would relate to that "brief".

Mustang owners down here can be a bit precious. Maybe someone like "OzHemi" could chime in with his opinion of its saleability.

Yeah there is a lot of stuff being exported from the US to Aus.

They are typically being punted in the $25-$60AUD range depending on condition and options.

6 cylinder stangs aren't really valued but a 64-66 fastback GT with a HiPo 289 will pull around the $60K range.

Anything after 1970 isn't all that collectible here.

That '70 fastback would sure sell in Oz, but just depends on how much you want to get out of it. Factor in shipping (I charge AU$3500 total) plus taxes, then just figure what you want to make on the car and go from there with it.
Depending on the condition of your car, and how fast you want to move it will make a difference in what you will get for it of course. There are always alot of 'stangs going over, so if you want a top dollar for your's, either needs to be a mint shape car, and/or be prepared to wait a little while longer then just a quick turn around on it.
I just shipped a '70 fastback for a mate actually... he had bought it himself here while touring around, and I sent it..was a decent deal I think, he got it for $3500, running driving 302w car, no rust, just bit of a dent in the 1/4 panel and needed seat covers. (and paint of course after the repair)

I mainly deal in 1st gen Camaro's and know that market well, but over all the years I have certainlly shipped my share of Mustangs over too I suppose, lol
