weber 34 ich/ict jetting 3x1

Hello to the group

What size jets is everyone using for the 3x1 set ups . I have a fresh motor with the 3x1 . I'm sure it will need to be bigger jets but I need a baseline to work from . There's alot of talk on the list about holley weber jetting but not the ich or ict . Any info would be helpfull. Anyone running an 02 sensor with these carbs . Pics to follow .

I'm curious to see what the numbers are when the outboard carbs kick in . Al
 
I'm trying to find my notes I took on my jetting. I definately went larger on the middle and smaller on the outers. I could still go smaller I think. I too want to add an O2-my buddy showed me how to do it with my meter and an o2 instead of buying the whole kit. I guarantee that the thing will pin out when WOT. I had the last carbs link break the other day while driving-felt like someone had stolen a cylinder or two!!
 
My center carb the ICH is from a BMW and the two ICT are from a VW bus . So I don't know how it run when I start it up for the first time . The JAW kit and 02 sensor my be the answer for fine tuning . If you need help finding your notes I'll come over a help I sure could use the info .

My son and I built a tripower with the same carb set-up you're asking about. After a bunch of experimentation with jetting them, we settled on 155 jets on the outboards and a 170 in the middle. We didn't run any sensors or etc, just basing it on reading plugs, idle to wide open throttle performance and experience. Based on your cam it may affect it a bit up or down but thats where we settled. Here's a thread my boy posted that shows his setup http://fordsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php? ... highlight=

Thanks that's the info I was looking for . I've seen the pics of your son's car before , I stoled some of your ideas hope you don't mind. I'll change it around if I'm ever at any car shows in Ohio
 
Think mine had 150 or 155 when I got them. Pretty sure I have a 165 in the middle one right now. I also had to change the idle jet up a size or two.

I would have to double check but the ones I have are smaller . We're talking about the main jet not the air corrector jet ? For Harry there is alot of applications for these carbs from VW to land rovers so the jetting will vary by applications . My center carb ( ich ) is from a BMW the outboards are from a VW bus . John G and Highvolkage both have about the same engine set up as mine so I'm whatever their running will get me close to where I need to be .

Never touched the air corrector in mine-don't realy understand it so it's better left alone until I do.
 
does anybody remember what size their air corrector jets were, one of the carbs i bought had a 200, the other has a 190.

edit: nevermind, just looked at my book, says standard for ich is 190 and ict is 160.
