Weber for dummies

Is there anything like this? I want to explore dual 32/36 progressives on a six, and i have a couple mismatched carbs. Both water and electric choke different sized choke plates, probably different jetting.

I'm assuming the 32/36 are the millimeter diameters of the Venturi? If so, is there a preferred choke plate size, or is that one of those 'engine build depentant' kind of things?

Are webers easy to rebuild/rejet/balance, or should i just figure out a ballpark config and pay soneone to do it for me? i know a lot of that is based on individual skill, but i'm mechanicallly inclined.

My plan is to do a log head first (because I'll get the machining for free) while i try to design an intake for my AL head.

How's this project going? You probably already figured this out, but 32/36 is the diameter of the throttle plates, not the venturis. Not sure if these all had the same size venturis or not, but I am surprised to hear that the ones you have have different sized choke plates. How is that possible? As for swapping out the chokes electric/water/manual, they are interchangeable and it is an easy fix. Also, re-jetting on these is really easy and by now you've probably figured that out and compared the jets to see what you have.

Well, I think the issue I've found is that I've (potentially) gotten a mix of weber and 'weber like' carburetors, and the apparent lack of part numbers or other definitive markings is potentially limiting my rebuild options.

The first two I got from another member, and see to be of the same family. The third I took off a 73 4cyl Capri. The 4th (with larger choke valves in the float cover) is the spanish 'weber', and the only one marked with the weber name.
