Was doing a search in addition to checking by PM with another FSP member who has a 3 1bbl systen on breathers for the 1100 when I found your unanswered inquiry. As I am now working on the same problem, thought I'd check with you first to see if you have since gotten any good ideas or answers. The lack of a flang on the neck of the 1100 makes it difficult to find a simple solution. I did find the following in 2 3/16 neck opening at the Summit web site in the chrome from K&N at 117 plus handeling It's the chrome louvered vintage style.

They also list one simular to the K&N by Mr Gasket at and it 19.95 per breather. 59.85 for a set of three plus the handeling, but it has a 2 5/16 base.

The list two that indicate that the fit from 2 1/4 to to and 2 5/8 Guy at Summit sait thy hjave a clamb type band that adjusts to the neck size like a hose clamp.
Price is what you pay, quality is what you get, and if there is some way to make the K&N fit, it would probably would be the better buy. Just hate to but out $127 and not have they work.
I wonder if that plastic adapter that was between the breather base and the top of the carb originally would sufice as a flange and allow it to work.
I have accuired three original 1bbl bases in the past month that I will cut down to fit and modify to build breathers if I have to. That's what I did in the one pictured in the avatar.
Summit does list 3-4 other breathers in the 2 3/16 neck size.
