What are adjustable rockers worth?

I saved the adjustable rockers out of the old 170. They're filthy, covered in oil crud, but I took the end rockers off and there's very little wear on the shafts or the rockers, so I'd think that with a good bath they'd be good to go...

Any idea what they're worth, if anything?

Nothing, they are very dangerous, I will send you my address so you can ship them to me for proper disposal.

In reality I see NOS ones on Ebay for $40-50. I bought a used set for $5, but they are pretty worn.

Don't feel rooked, the ones I got may not be useable. However I really wanted it for the pedastals since someone overtorqued the ones on my car now and pinched them around the shaft too tight for removal

I bought them "just-in-case".[/quote]

is it advisable to use these even if you have hydrolic lifters (ie if there's valve noise or too long a rod)?....

I don't know.

Mine has hydraulic lifters and adjustable rockers from the factory, so I'd say that it doesn't hurt anything.

Here's a "good used" set on evilbay for $60...obviously this guy hasn't heard of us.

The typical wear is worn shafts, worn or egged rockers, and/or blocked oil passages which might not be obvious . Since they are a critical element for peformance even for unmodified engines, I would be hesitant to pay anymore than a core price of $10-$20 unless they were confirmed NOS or re-furbs. Rebushed and clean from RAS for $81.50 plus core.
