Has been ok for mine. In fact, I've buzzed it to 6200 on occasion, but I have the fuel cut set to 6000 now. With the cam it has and the stock intake runners, it quits making power at about 5000 anyway.
Thanks very much. Asked this because Im having trouble trying to decide what cam to purchase for my 250 2V. Spoke to Kieth at Wade Cams (many to choose from) and Crow cams today. Leaning toward something that make power at 5000rpm or just under. Crow can make the lobe sep to suit (for few extra dollars) I want 108 (rougher idle stronger mid but drops of quickly) and want to go a bit higher than planned to compensate a 212/216 at 50 a 272/290 advertised.
Thanks.
To anyone whose interested.
This it seems, is still not enough cam to maximise power under 5000rpm. Go to Aussie six section to see reply from C.O.M.E cams.
