where is the oil feed on my 3.8 GN turbo?

I just got the free turbo from my dads boss, it is from a 3.8 GN ( T3 Super 60 with integral wastegate ) and is in awsome shape, no rotor play or anything but, I looked for the oil feeds and I cannot find them, where are they located? Thanks in advance

have pics? I'll try googling it though, also is an early draw through or the later blowthrough turbo? I dunno how different they are though.

I'll get pics of it pretty soon. I got a schematic of it from shopkey at my autoshop class, it's no help as to where the lines go, all shop key did say about oiling it is that it went right into the compressor housing, which is very, very general information. the 2 turbo's are not diffrent, it's what they bolt on that is. the schematic I got is for an '84

That is a buick draw trough turbo. In red is pointed the oil feed.

This brochure drawing shows the position where the turbo sits in the stock engine. The compressor outlet bolts directly to the intake manifold, the little white tube behind the alternator is the oil feed line. In this turbo the oil return line is gravity assisted.

It's missing the flapper valve, the housing that bolts to the exhaust scroll that supports the flapper valve and as you said the actuator and the bracket tha supports it.

BTW there a broken stud in the exhaust scroll where the turbine wheel is.
Good luck getting it out :(

Thanks, by flapper valve, you mean wastegate? Yeah, I know about the broken stud, I may carfully drill it out and heli coil it, but will try all the standard measures to remove it first ( without heat of course )

Yeah the flapper valve is the round disk that opens to bypass the exhaust flow. It goes in the roun hole that is aside of the turbine wheel. It acts like a toilet flush valve.

I did not found a picture from a stock turbo but this illustrates equally well. This is a aftermarket internal waste gate assy for a t3 with 5 bolt pattern with 3" V band outlet (very very neat).

thanks for the help. I'm going to set it up as a draw through being that is what the turbo was made for, plus I can use all stock 3.8 carb'd turbo parts to mount a Q jet on it, need to make an adapter to fit the 2 bolt carb mount on my engine but that shouldn't be too bad.
