true....if it's something of value I will go balls deep into restoring it, but if not, I may pass it on to a friend....I've never had a vehicle like this, but it also seems I cannot find any for sale either...so the question still remains, is it a turd or diamond in the rough??

I can tell you about any LandCruiser, but Fords not so much.

Just my opinion. Firstly any vehicle made in 1962, 59,000 original miles, no wrecks is worth serious consideration for restoring. Particularly when your talking a truck, which are built solider than some unibody sedan.Firstly, what motor does it have? Being a truck, especially a 4x4,could well have a 262 L6. Those are rare as hens teeth, and as prised by some of us on this forum.There are several threads on how to tell if its a 262 or 223.Even if its a 223, it would be a candidate for balls out restoration, in my book.
If you would be restoring it to sell, I can't tell you what its worth.Its the old 'what the market will bear'. As a solid, reliable truck, and a nice looking vintage one, as a daily driver it will outlive you.I say go for it.Jim

I'm thinking its gotta be a 262, being a 4x4.Rebuilding the engine, stock, is fairly inexpensive.And the engine is very basic, and therefore straightforward to rebuild.I think you really have a diamond in the rough.Course, I'm restoring /modernising a '65 Divco milktruck, and a lot of people think I'm crazy.There are still a lot of NOS parts for these engines, most easy to find, with patience on e-bay. The posts on this site can tell you everything you need too know.Hope ya go for it.
