Hi all, I just got my 66 mustang 3 months ago and I have been a bit slow in getting a restoration book and shop manual.. There seems to be so many of them, so maybe some of you guys have some suggestions.I would appreciate it.
thanks

Are these any good

...have both, the shop manual is indespensible, but check it for completion, mine is missing some of chapter 15. the other book is good for original data, pictures of what it looked like new, etc. i used it to sort out my dual exhaust, but it's mostly a coffee table book.

I have HPbooks mustang restoration handbook by Don Taylor & Tom Wilson and honestly it is good but lacks a lot of details. I have not found any that have the details that I am looking to find.
Good luck

If you have to any repair work (routine maintenance), the shop manual can't be beat by any book. I know it is pricey, but worth it's weight in gold. I waited for like a year because I didn't want to spend the money, but in the end I broke down and now can't realized how I got by without it. I misplaced mine when I moved and went insane trying to find it so I could work on my car. Mine is well worn, but I love it. I usually keep it in the trunk of my car just incase.

Other books I've found useful only for the pictures. Beyond that, they seem kind of worthless as they don't go into much detail about how to actually do the work.
