Which Rotunda Oil am I to buy?

Is it the Rotunda for Diesal, availble at Wal Mart?

you mean Rotella? Shell Rotella? If so, then yes, its a diesel oil.

Make sure it's not the new formulation of Rotella. They have one that has less ZDDP in it, that they just put it on the market. I forget which little seal to look for on it to make sure it has enough zinc. Since they are going to put catalytic converters on diesels in the near future, they started taking the zinc out of that oil too.

Look for CI-4 rating. It has more anti wear additives. The new CJ-4 rating is out and is replacing much of the CI-4 on the shelf. But either of these is better than an oil marked only good for SM category.
