Will my 67 3-speed bell 6cyl bell work on 1980 200 6cyl?

Looking to get a new 200 straight 6 from a 1980 zephyr, but everyone is saying the block pattern is different, I have a 1967 200 with a 6 bolt bell and 3-speed, can I retain this bell when going to a low mount starter block? or do I need a low mount starter bell? I'm confused?

No the C7 bell housing won't work with a low mount starter or BB code block. However you are supposed to be able to convert a regular SBF bellhousing to work behind a 'low mount starter' or BB code block. IIRC the BB code block has 2/3 of the sbf pattern. I think this conversion is covered in the Ford Falcon Performance Handbook.
Good luck

If its low mount, and the block is gray, no

If its high mount and block is blue, yes

The kicker is that 3.3 Fox Fords that ran C3 autos only ran high mount blocks. That's the one to get

If it ran a C4 or C5, then its most likely a low mount block.

Over here C4s are found behind high starter blocks.
I have not yet seen a C3 behind an I6 in my part of the world.
