I am planning to put a EF engine into my XF if i can get one, find out monday.
I want to run Wolf 3d so i can add a turbo later on.
How much extra power would this computer see me getting if tuned correctly?
Has anyone converted their six to aftermarket fuel injection. Did you do it yourself? How was the conversion.

Thanks
Dan

Ive converted an older 70s car with carby to turbo EFI with a Wolf 3d, it wasnt so hard, you get all the instructions with it, and you need a wiring diagram of your XE to patch it into.
As to power, Id wouldnt know for sure, but maybe 10kw. The difference is in the emissions.

hey
im doing a simmilar project and before i decided to get gassed i had a look at computers, and found that the wold would not have very stable timing , i actually saw this. a better option i found was the EMS might not look as flash but is a much bettr alternative. XTC in melbourne have a special ems system that has a few more features like volumetric correction tables and more . pretty cheap too, 1000 ~ for comp kit then instal and tuning was quoted as 600 for a turbo r31 skiline ,,, should be same for fords.

check it out

Mate, I've played with a few aftermarket engine management systems and I'd advise you to do your homework - I can't stress this enough! If your going to pay a tuner to do it for you they will only do very basic start, warm up and acceleration enrichment tunes. It would cost an absolute fortune to get them to do it right because of the man hours and the fact the car would be hanging around their shop for so long.
The best advice I can give is to learn as much as possible and do the start up and warm up tunes yourself. If you want more detailed help PM me.
