Wrong Dipstick??

I have been using a Dipstick that for some reason has never "felt" right to me. Not to mention when I add oil after a oil change, it always seems to require more than factory specs. So today I actually thought I would check the part numbers to see what it came off of... well as it turns out it is for a 1969 Falcon. C9DE-6750-B

Ordinarily I would say who cares what it came off of as long as it does the job. Well, when I did a quick internet search of the 69 Falcon, no 250s were supposedly offered.

So, can someone tell me what the correct length of Dipstick should be used on a 250? And secondly who's got one they would like to get rid of?

Go to the parts store and ask them the question it'll be in a book somewhere.

I can measure the one in the car when i get a chance. The next time you do an oil change with a new filter put 5 gts in it and mark the dipstick you have.
