WTB: 262 internals

F.F.

Good luck!
Been attempting the same thing myself for over Three years.
And IF you do find them, You are looking @ Major Mods in order to make them work which is going to Cost you to Dole out a bit of Rhino to get it done.

Cheers

OK Colonel Flash....
what's the lowdown on these "major mods" you're talkin' 'bout to get that 262 crank and peestones to work in a 223 block?

I was of the opinion, after reading some of the posts here, that the 262 crank and pistons would buckle right up....

Would you care to set me and the rest of us straight on the fabled "223 stroker" with the 262 crank and pistons? Whass needed to git 'er done?
Thanks, TwoBit

the bore of a 262 is 3.72 bore of a 223 is 3.62 you would have to bore the 223 block .100. 262 pistons hard to find (hi priced). the 223 pistons can be used but the cond. dist. is .010 less on the 223. the .570 longer stroke & over bore will give more comp. using 223 pistons.factroy 262 has flats on the cam so the rods do not hit.

Yes, it's a bleedin' lot of grinding that has to been done to the Rods, Crank & the Inside of the Block so that you get the Proper clearences, as the Crank just does Not bloody well drop in as it's a Tick Bigger & Longer.

Opinions are based on Emotions & P.o.V.'s are based on Fact.

Oh, did you some how manage to hit the Incorrect keys in your typing Frenzy TwoBit, the name is spelled FLASHMAN.
