hey everyone, just wondering... if i modified an xf injection manifold and cut off the bolt face plate, will a 250 2V face plate adapt on? are the ports the same distance apart?

Also what is needed for a fuel only injection setup and a setup which is not to complex? was thinking along the lines of a motec or autronic computer. or if i get a full setup off an xf, what needs putting onto the 2V in regards to sensors etc?

Xtaxi, your genius here please!!!

I would use the upper part of the IFE manifold and fabricate the lower

If you want to do on the cheap you could use an early XE comp as there less complex and have half the amount of wires

you can use the STD afm and it can be tricked to give a rich or lean mix

A friend of mine had a turbo EFI TE corty at the NATS last year, it was running the STD XE comp and afm and he was pumping 15psi in to his 250
and has no probs with it

as i uderstand the spacing between the center two ports is different on a 2V head, so you would have to fabricate a new lower manifold. i would look into fabricating a new intake using the factory sensors so you could retain the standard XE computer.

I have a mate who has adapted Bosch EFI off a Camira (4cyl) onto a 1.6L VW Passat and also a Fiat X1/9 1.5L Both cars drive (drove!) extremely well, and in the case of the X1/9, it goes harder than factory EFI variants. He had to fabricate intake manifolds to suit. Anything that gets (and keeps) a Camira off the road is a good thing. Maybe try a VK EFI?? Just use whatever sensors that come off the doner motor! Should work OK.

hehe, would you belive i have a camira already at my joint which just ran outta rego, so another one off the road! but ill just try and get a shitty xf with efi and yank all the stuff i need unless when i buy a motec etc they come with sensors in the kit?! anyone know if they do?
