XR6T MOTOR IN CORTINA?

hi guys, been a while since ive been here. but i seem to remember a guy who was going to try and put an xr6t motor in a cortina and i was just curious to see how he went if anyone knows. or even if anyone else has tried the conversion in any other car themselves.

You're not thinking of "Korrupt"? He dropped a BA turbo unit into a Capri. From memory the early dyno results were around 400RWKW.

Fitting a 240t into a corty was my original plan, But I just couldn't find an engine at the time so I freaked the 250 for the time being

The 240t swap is still on the cards and should be happing in the next 18-24 months, I hope :roll:

The engine is a fair chunk longer than the 250 so Im thinking the firewall needs to be recessed 100mm of so and the radiator may need to be fitted in the boot, But hey if thats what I need to do.

thats right addo i got a bit confused it was a capri i rememberer now 400RWKW thats increadible. would you or anyone else know of any pics arround of it i would love to see it (or any other xr6t conversions for that matter) i would like to see how hard it is to actually pull it off .in a way i hope too hard so i can stop thinking bout slotting one into the ol XM ute!

Tried emailing him and it bounced. Need someone with the Navy roll to see if he's still on it. May have been promoted.

Also, it was 400 at the flywheel.

I might sell it

Cant put a price on it yet

I will need too see how it runs and what times it will do and then I can put a price on it

When I do sell it I will give it a freshen up and it will be sold with the C4
