I'd like to introduce all of you to Southern Cross Performance

For everyone who has been following, we project to begin moving the SP heads and manifolds out late next month and final pricing will be available as we move closer to that release date. In the meantime, we have pistons and some ARP hardware available, and will have some unique valvetrain components out soon also.

It's a brand new site so please excuse any errors. Of course, any feedback would be appreciated. I hope to seeing some "Argy" headed motors up and running soon.

A list of links, maybe?

The upper scroll bar next to the top logo, seems not needed. It just moves the logo up and down 3/16".

What about the same site, en Español?

Curtis - the chambers measure in around 63ccs

Addo - links are on the to-do list. As for the logo / scroll bar, I have tested the site on 4 different computers and don't get that problem. The logo is a tight fit in the frame so if your monitor display settings are a little different it pops up. I'll look into it more.

Thanks

What a tease! You left me aching for more pictures of that engine bay!

Steve

John,

Looked at the site and have a question about the SP heads. Your site says that the heads have a 3 angle valve job cut for 1.77" INT & 1.5" EXH valves. Do the heads come as a blank casting or with valves, springs, etc... included? If not, do the Argie heads use standard sized valves, or do they require special valves cut for that head?

Kris

John - Thanks for bringing that up. All of our pistons have that "nipple" removed.

Kris - I anticipate people are going to want the option of being able to choose which valves, springs, and hardware they want to use. For that reason, they will come only with valve guides, and hardened seats installed. They use all existing valvetrain parts for the US head - there are no differences up top.

Thanks.

John, you said the heads are for an intake valve size of 1.77 or do you mean 1.75 which is the largest valve size available for this head in a current production status. If it is the 1.77 size where do you get the valves?? William

William - Thanks for the correction. The valves I have here from a D8 head measure 1.77" on my dial caliper, but 1.75" is correct. The seats will be cut for the available valves.

John, thanks for the reply. The head looks great. I'm sure it will flow head & shoulders over my modified log.
Whats the $$$. Thanks William

$$$ - The big question. I just can't nail down a price this soon. There are one or two cost variables still out on the manifolds which could influence the price I have on paper 10-20% up or down. I'm hoping to be able to price these low enough to share a market with the higher dollar aluminum heads that may show up later this year - and I'm confident that we can do that. I also want to show on a dyno that the SP isn't anything to shrug at also. Give me a little more time, and in the meantime, fire away with the questions.

Site looks good John. I have been waiting a long time for this. Your site and news is perfect timing for me. I'm ready to order the full boat.

I sent a PM on the details.

Thanks, Ric.

you've actually got very little information for your products
i predict that this'll result in A) people flooding you with questions or B) buying from some place that has that info readily available

take your ARP kits
what size are they? what exactly is included? is there a picture available?
you could even add in some blurb straight from ARP's advertising

there's no such thing as too much information

Will FSPP's 1.6 ratio roller tipped rockers work with the Argentine head? I just wanted to check this out incase I decide to upgrade to the Argentine head in the future.

Thank You,
Greg

Evan - I recognize the lack of details, and I'm slowly getting more info up as I have the time.

Greg - All the valvetrain parts are the same. No problem with those rockers.

Thanks.
