Well at risk of being branded "Provided he opens his mind and closes his mouth long enough", I certainly am not annoyed. It's refreshing to read posts with various procedures. I really only revisited the forum to post some pics on the steering mods to my early falcon, hoping it would help people. Then I noticed this section and thought it might be a lark.
Stubby I find measuring actual compression pressure is far more useful than estimating CR. Afterall CR figures are of very little use, except for rules of thumb. A gauge reading can easily be converted back into a CR ratio, so long as the advertised intake closing angle, rod length and stroke are known.
