Extra Oil Supply To Distributor Gear

This mod will supply the distributor gear extra oiling.
This mod applies only to the second & third lifters only.
This allows more oil to the orifice in the block over the distributor & camshaft gears.
67 mustang,C-4, with mod. 80 hd, custom 500 cfm carb with annular boosters, hooker headers, dual exh.-X pipe, flowmaster mufflers, DSII dist. MSD-6425CL & MSD-Blaster 8252 Coil. Engine 205" .030" over with offset ground crank & 1.65 roller rockers. 9.5 comp., Isky 262 cam.

I have put oil in the dist. twice a year. The little door that is just below the cap is where I mean. What you have pictured...did you use a 1/16" cut off wheel to make that groove ? That is a lifter you did the groove to ? Good idea. What engine is this on ? I have a 240.

Its for the 144-250 small six. The cut is about .020" wide.

Not needed on a 240.

The 240 is considered the "big" six.
