223 to 300 swap

is it possible to swap in a 300/6 inplace of a 223? If so will a 300 bolt up to a 3spd tranny? The truck I would like to do this in is a 1956 f100. The truck is all stock. I'm note sure what tranny the truck has. Or would it be better if I used a different/newer tranny? t-18,t-19, etc.

A Larger Radiator that compliments the I-6 300 needs to be installed,
Motor Mounts need to be relocated,
The original 3-on-the-tree to my knowledge will Not mate up & is Not up to the kind of Torque,
A T-18 or T-19 3-on-the-tree tranny is prefferable for the I-6 300 for a manual , I prefer mating a C-4 Auto tranny myself.

This is just off the top of my head, I had been doing reseach to do the samething for my '58 M-100 so I've put some time into it.
