I went the black and red color scheme on my 200 just cause I liked how it looked. Lol gotta say it looked good blue but farmall red and black dont look to bad either
Your long block being painted blue is sign that the engine was worked on or was swapped in from a 1966 or newer car. If you are doing a restoration than factory colors are below.
1965 your 170ci engine valve cover and air cleaner would be a Red like orange when faded so what you have now would be right. The 170ci blocks, head, oil pan are Black
The engine will still be the same black block with orange color tin if it's a 170. A 200 is black block with a dark red on air cleaner and valve cover. Good Luck
