Yea, I've come around.
The old one is at about .0175 to .0185 as is. Just don't dare go with that. Too much time and cash invested to blow it now. If I can just find myself a full weekend I'll get this thing back together and fire it up. Can't wait!! Thanks for the advice RC.

There are some kits on ebay right now that include the Ford composite gsk which is .035" compressed.

Nope, look closer, it is a graphite composite gasket...

The "pills" are the valve stem seals...
