1952 Barn Find, but need info.

I just found a 1952 f1 in a barn. All original with 47,000 miles. Nicely patina'd. Perfect Rat Rod. I bought it and am bringing it home Wed. It has a 215 inline 6 OHV. I know nothing about this motor. 3 speed on the column. If I can get it running I want to keep it orig. Am I going to be able to find parts for this motor? Help

Check the vintage six section. Here we speak a different language.

The 144-170-200-250 engines have nothing in common with the older sixes.

I'd concentrate on getting it running first. Then you can determine if or what you may need depending on how it runs. I have been able to get most everything I have needed for my 223 (follow-up of the 215) from my local NAPA, sometimes they have to order, usually get next day. LMC, Egge, Kanter, Green, are a few places where you may find parts,if needed. LMC will send you a catalog for your specific series of pickup, free of charge, all you have to do is ask for it. Search up Edwin's I-6 site for a lot of basic info. He may chime in here for you.

Is good to find more people trying to keep these nostalgic vehicles running in the original configuration. My 62 F100 Unibody is a Daily Driver. Lots of friendly help here, if needed.

Also might help if you update to give your location. Not required, but someone may be close to your location to talk to or help.

If your not familiar with fordtrucks.com I'd say give it a look. Great bunch of folks, like here, with the focus being ford pick ups.

You would have enjoyed the Bonus Built Forum as a member on that was doing a 4x4 F1 with an inline 200 six...... Sadly that forum is no more. I may have some photos of the conversion if it helps you
