I don't think you can put a syncro in that tranny (type 2:77) I beleive you would have to swap in a 303 tranny (thats a full sincro 3 speed) that would take a different bell housing, tranny mount (maybe cross member) and maybe a different clutch type....

My mistake on the compleat 250 swap... but a 250 head would be a good swap.

I've been searching for your albums (used) Bumpasaurus and Seminar, do you have any spare that you'd like to donate to me? I've already got SWASS, cause my Posse is always on Broadway.

And on the car issue. According to my Pops, the 3.03 is a direct swap. A 4spd toploader can be installed also but for reverse you need to hook up an additional knob with a solid cable to the reverse arm on the transmission. The last time I talked to him it sounded like he had done that conversion a couple times.

There is merit to only worrying about how YOU feel about the car since You have to live with it! My dad had a 65 4 door with the bent 8 that had proverbially been owned by the little old lady (He bought it from her in the nursing home). look dead slow and wasted most other cars not only for speed but was a real gas sipper. I was sorry that cement mixer ran into it!! Back on topic, its your pleasure to own one of the finest ford products(In my own opinion) so if you're happy don't let the yahoos rain on your parade.
