1965 mustang Linkage

I swapped my 200 in my 66 to a 200 from a 65. I am having problems with the carb linkage. It does not bolt to the block like the 66 does. Where can I find a 65 linkage??

Are you sure it is a 65 block? I am not aware of any block changes from a 65 to a 66. But then I'm still in the learning phase and have been for 50 years.

I was going to say you could find a 1965 6cyl linkage from any Mustang parts vendor but all the ones I checked don't carry it. :

The linkage should be the same though. You might have something that has been modified. I have never heard of it being bolted to the block in an early 200ci.

hmm...they should be the same, and there are no differences in the block. I wonder if you had a 'special' block someone made something work with a unique linkage set up. Do you have any pictures?
