Looks good. New and US made so that is a plus. I did not see dimensions on their site like the base dimensions and height which could be relevant info.
That's what I was wondering about, the base dimensions. If it's a 2-barrel, it's going to need some kind of adapter for the small and large log unless one is going to mill the log and do a direct mount.
Actually, we just read that all Stromberg carburetors might be at 1.5” of vacuum instead of 3” of vacuum. If that is the case. Then the Big97 might flow about the same as the Holley 350. I’m looking into it.
I think Stromberg is doing it right. If I understand the theory behind it correctly, in order to approximate real life, in engine conditions, a 2-barrel carb is measured at 1.5" of vacuum, whereas a 4 barrel is measured at 3" of vacuum.
Weber 2V carburetors are rated at 3" of vacuum. I find that misleading when compared to other carbs. A Weber 38/38 is rated at 390 CFM whereas in reality it should be closer to to 275 CFM when it's measured at 1.5".
