200ci Degree the cam?

This applies only to 200ci
Looks good. New and US made so that is a plus. I did not see dimensions on their site like the base dimensions and height which could be relevant info.

That's what I was wondering about, the base dimensions. If it's a 2-barrel, it's going to need some kind of adapter for the small and large log unless one is going to mill the log and do a direct mount.

Actually, we just read that all Stromberg carburetors might be at 1.5” of vacuum instead of 3” of vacuum. If that is the case. Then the Big97 might flow about the same as the Holley 350. I’m looking into it.

I think Stromberg is doing it right. If I understand the theory behind it correctly, in order to approximate real life, in engine conditions, a 2-barrel carb is measured at 1.5" of vacuum, whereas a 4 barrel is measured at 3" of vacuum.

Weber 2V carburetors are rated at 3" of vacuum. I find that misleading when compared to other carbs. A Weber 38/38 is rated at 390 CFM whereas in reality it should be closer to to 275 CFM when it's measured at 1.5".

You can check out this site. Less than 10 min from me. He knows his carbs. No show room. Works out of a building on his property. He has been doing it a long time. He did some plating for my tri- power and chrome intake for my FE. He does the shows at Daytona. He does a lot online as well.

If you want to learn about Stromberg Carb’s, and how to set them up, they will also help you.

Here is an update to my original post topic. I checked the cam degree today. The intake LC is 117.875 degrees. The cam card states it should be 108 degrees. I have ordered the JPP adjustable timing chain kit.

We know the the HSC rod is longer than what Ford says it is, I wonder if the Ford spec. for the small six cam is wrong, and the company's making the cam, make them to the wrong spec.. That is the only way I can think that this happens, and it has been like this for a very long time.

It’s a reground original 60s cam so the company is the probable culprit. Like everyone says, degree the cam!

Yes, I will have two close options. I can go 1* advanced at 107* or 2* retarded at 110*. Maybe I can get a recommendation. I’m at 5500’ altitude if that helps.

If you have not done so, while you have the head off, check that the damper timing mark is correct.
Also do not use the oil slinger if you have one, the new roller set will not work with it, oil slinger is not needed.
