Has anyone bought clifford performance headers and also classic inline headers. Just doing a comparsion on both before I buy. They both look like they are high quality. My hooker headers I have are out of the car (also the engine). They are 8 years old. They hang way down past the frame over 2 inches under the floor boards passenger side. They are big and bulky even down at the drag link rod for the steering. The only good thing is they are contained very well at the #1 and #2 cylinder where I have a sanden A/c compressor bolted to the factory bracket for the 200 cid inline six engine. No problems at all there. ( mostly the #1 cylinder) So I am looking for a good quality header ( which I think both companies are) 2nd well contained around where the a/c is installed. 3rd well contained headers where it is not rubbing at the firewalls, hitting steering linkage and hanging lower than the frame of the car over 2 inches, which looks stupid from the side.
I know classic inline has a tech help which gives you ideas for moving the a/c compressor to the bottom and alternator to the top when installing headers. My a/c lines would have to be longer to do this. The sanden compressor is very small compared to the factory compressor. I am just trying to keep it simple.
