just wondering...would a 2.0L turbo do anything on a 250...i dont think so but i'm not totally sure...also would it be too much for a 1.6L engine (or is it 1.8?) from a ford probe.

I think but I am not positive that the turbo probes had pretty much the same setup as the SVO Mustang. Should be enough since most guys rob parts of the SVO for their turbo setups. I think...

turbo gurus feel free to correct me.

The turbo probes are based off of the Mazda MX6 turbo, not the svo fords. It wouldnt be too much for a 1.8 or 1.6L, but imo would be too small for a 250

Yes, it would work in some ranges of operation if reasonably installed. What may well be the case though, is that the transition between being quite effective, and not very effective (based on airflow), could end up being infuriating or even dangerous.

allright, thanks guys...well i talked to my freind about the turbo...oh and he has a 2 litre, lol...my mistake, so it should work fine...hes not sure totally if he wants to do it, but i think i can talk him into it pretty easily....i unfortunately only get friday/saturday/sunday to pull parts from the wrecker, and this week is done :( so hopefully its still there on friday. How can i test the turbo? it has a 90 day warrenty so i can bring it back. should i be able to take an air hose to it to get it spinning? how bout attaching it quickly to the end of the exhaust pipe....what kind of things should i look for other than strange chattering noises or the like?
