well ive pulled the 170 out of my falcon and ill be putting in the 200 after i respray the engine bay. Im now comtemplating what I should do for the exhaust.

I have a set of headers..

which have 2" tri Ys going into a Y which also ends with 2" diameter.

now at this point Im considering cutting off the Y piece and running a duel exhaust, but this will depend on cost.

what I would like to know is what size pipe i should be running if i run a single and if i run a duel. engine is 200ci and will be running a 350 holley and reasonable sized cam.

cheers.

2½" is plenty for a dual. For twins I think you'll be saddled with 1¾" as 1½" is harder to find. Can't remember why, but there is less space on the left side next to the tank if you put mufflers right at the end.

Call me old fashioned, but if you go duals I thinks 2" pipe is PLENTY big.
Its only 100 cubes per header side!!

A friend of mine dynoed 372 RWHP with dual 2" pipes on a GTO with a 389, so you won't be giving up power at all.

Even 1-3/4" should be big enough.

I just mistyped - dual when meaning single. That's why the second sentence says what it says.
