215 engine questions

:help: trying to find out if the 223 cams fit in the 215 engines?and where a person could find new lifters, i believe they are solid lifters,for the 215! thanks jim

I don't believe that a 223 camshaft will fit a 215. I think the fuel pump and distributor locations are different in the two engines. If I remember correctly, the 215 had the distributor in the middle of the block and the 223 has the distributor near the front. The lifters are the same though and are also used by the Y-block V8s so they should be available from just about any auto parts store, Clevite # 213-1629
