Have any of you guru's stroked the 233 to 262 or know somebody who has? Just looking for the pro's and con's. I wanna' keep a 6 in my ride, but would like to be able to hop it up without it taking an act of congress. It just seems that nobody carries a good selection of parts for these engines (Besides Kanter).
Thanks as always for the help

Ibored & stroked a 262 to 277 cdi I used 292+60 pistons 300 rods off set ground the carnk .040

Father has seen it done it the 60's, but a 262 is not an easy engine to find these days so that you can pull the crank & such out of it to use in the 223.
I finally found a short block in Idaho that has a lot of surface rust on it, after 3 years worth of searching for one.
So depending on what the Mechanic has to state about it, I'll either be doing what our neighbor above did to his or I'll be B'ing & S'ing my 223 using the Crank, Cam, Timing Gears & whatever is usable out of it.
