hey guys im new to the forum
a mate and i are building a hottie 250 2v

just wondering why alot of people are going for 200 rods
when they could use 250 rods and and concentrate on revs and not torque considering they dont struggle for torque?
is it something simple i have missed
?

Yes there is something youve missed:-
The difference in power or torque would be barely noticable in a street engine. The longer rods are useefull for race applications where the last bit of performance can mean victory.
Stick with the stock 250-2v setup, just get the whole combo working properly and you should be pleased with the performance.

hey
because the 200 rods can gain 70ftlb over the 250 ones and rev better.
depends on what ya reving it to.drift

Not really. A longer rod means the piston slows down or speeds up more slowly (gently) at TDC and BDC. It's enough to make the difference in a race engine.
