the 250-oz head that is sold here- how long would it take on average to get one of those and how many people are already waiting for one? just wondering about time and availability
Mike would be able to get you an answer. I wouldn't expect it extremely quickly. No fault of MIkes, just their aren't many of the heads left and finding them is apparently taking longer.
They are getting extremely difficult to find now days. There are still some out there, but most of the guys selling them now, want to sell the complete motor, not just the head and intake.
I would try the contact DB just posted. Buy the complete motor if you have to, then work a deal with them to remove and ship the head, manifold, carb, aircleaner, and the headers (extractors). That's not a bad price for all those parts.
If that doesn't work, PM me and I will see what I can do for you. My suppliers are always looking for them and occasionally, we find a few.
I just bought a complete rebuilt motor for $650 with all the goodies. Forged pistons, headers, 250-2V ported head, Holley carb, cam, dual chain, 175/148 valves, roller rockers, etc. Its in a crate on the way over.

My experience with shipping has been you pay for crating, cartage, documentation, freight, clearance and forklift. On one crate to the West Coast, this will easily run you close on USD$500 all up. So you better be sure that crate is packed with a lot of goodies.
Im a newbie to all this, dont know what an alloy xflow is. I just bought my falcon a month ago and before the falcon I was heavily into imports and 4 cylinders. I am young but very knowledgable in automechanics. Ive been reading all the threads gaining whatever info I can.
