Hey guys. I've been reading this forum for a while, and try to search for all my info, and normally I've found everything I've needed. I'm getting ready to swap a rebuilt 250 for the 200 in my 65 fairlane, and I finally made an account. I'm sure I'm going to need tons of advice for this swap! Here's the first question... I pulled the head to swap out the gasket and inspect the engine. When reassembling, I noticed a crack running through the rocker shaft underneath a bolt. I have a couple of 200 rocker assemblies but these both had adjustable rockers, while the 250 has non-adjustable. I have a couple of questions. Can I swap out just one of the parts that the bolt goes through from one of the other assemblies? (no idea what that part's called...) If so, how do I pull the pin out of the end of the rocker shaft? Or, can I purchase push rods for the 250 that have ball ends to match up with the adjustable rocker arms and use one of the adjustable set-ups? Would this require swapping out lifters? Thanks!
