The suspesion is in, the carb is in, even the steering wheel is in. Going to put the CI header in on Sunday after a car show and hope I dont get stopped on Monday going to the muffler shop :D . I still need to tune the carb some but need the DUI but the color I wanted wasn't in stock so Mike will get me that later. The carb is a weber 32/36 which runs great in 1st and 2nd but is flat in third. I checked plugs and think the back two are not firing right (a little tan caked stuff on them). My mix screw is out 2.5 turns(recommended 1.5). Should I wait to get the for DUI and tune it with all 6 burning good or order the jet kit and get the car running smooth now?

i had mine running straight headers for 3 days around my neigberhood  .....i have the same 32/36 carb with headers and DUI on my 200 engine.......what a differnce its like night and day compared to stock....i would wait for ur DUI before messing with jetting and fine tuning. i have not messed with or changed any my jets and it runs good no flat spots or anything...i think i have my mix screw turned to about 2-2.5 turns out also

Well finally the header is in. Broke one bolt on the old manifold coming out. Going to the muffler shop tommarow. The DUI and valve cover are in the mail right now (Thanks Mike). So the after pics are coming soon :D . Once its all in I'll have to update my signature.

:( :( :( Well got the duel exhust put on today. One outlet is turn a bit and they did not use the clamps I bought from Mike. The muffelers they said were the same as Flowmasters make my car sound like a lawn mower. From the duel outlet header they used the passenger side pipe as a support for the drivers side pipe and welded the two together. I was not able to bitch at them due to I was not available to pick it up. Now I have to go back tomarrow and try to make it right. :x :x :x

I think nearly every exhaust job is an exercise in disappointment. Not that you shouldn't hound them a little for sorting out the mess. Did they weld onto coated headers? And - did you get the expensive clamps back?

The biggest question with Flowmasters vs copies, is - can you prove (ie; with a set of equivalent Flowmasters fitted) that the copies sound different?

I could not have said it better addo. I was very dissapointed. As far as sound I'll have to live with it. Yes they welded just about everything together and I did get the clamps back. The way they did it is just going to make it harder for me to do other mods in the future like the T-5 swap.

More news the DUI came in today and is now in. Inital timing set at 12 btc. Looks fantastic and already feel a difference in first gear. I feel a lot of tuning is ahead but was only able to drive it around the block as the weather is not good here. With all the extra stuff that had to be bought to get everything together the $2500 is gone but the results so far have been well worth it. Pics to come after valve cover gets installed. DUI $500, Header $500, Carb/linkage/regulator $500, Exhust system $500, odds and ends to get it all together about $500.
