Thanks for the confirmation. I was afraid that the round log would not provide enough room for the required milling. As soon as I can get a leaking header problem resolved I'm going to give the 3X1 Offy one more try and if I can't get it to run correctly by the end of the month, I will scrap the whole idea and then make a decision on trying to use one of the round logs I have with larger valves and a single 1 bbl or go to the time and expense of locating a later square log head and milling for a 2 bbl. IIRC the later head has a larger volume in the firing chamber and would have to be milled to get any decent compression. Any futher advise or inf will be greatly appreciated. One major question on my alternatives, does any one know if the 264/274 cam will run ok with a 1bbl on round log.
