IF you make the pilgrimage to Big Daddys might aswell go to Daytona.I grew up around dirt track racing but drag racing is my first love.gotta tell ya though when your out by turn 4 looking down the front stretch late in the afternoon it's truly a religous experience 8)

that one is on my to-do list too. now that im shed of the ex, and my new wife is much more tolerant of my addiction to 10w40, maybe i can start doing some of the things ive been missing out on the last 20 odd years lol :D but i have seen many a tricycling sprint car at dusk---awsome.

btw, being the drag racer of the bunch i know what you mean---it was my kin that all went roundy round---lmao guess you could say im a straightline inline guy

anlushac11---i took a tape out to the car. i have almost 3 inches between the fan and radiator---but then im thinking the zephyr was a tiny bit larger than your stang. but as far as that measurement what matters is the distance between the firewall and radiator compared to the length of the big six block. it would be tight and id have to run electric pusher fans in front of the radiator instead of the regular w/p mounted one, but other than that that it MIGHT fit. ill have to do a little more measuring.

btw, who is mike? and id love to hear more about this stroked 250 you spoke of.

Mike is the guy behind the classicinlines.com products and this website.

As for crate motors, we will be offering them in a couple months. We are working with a company in SoCal, that builds many of Fords warrany replacement motors. They will be building the short blocks, minus the cams. By ordering fifty short blocks at a time, we can save a ton of cash, as compared to building them one at a time. Plus they have a great warranty.

Once an engine is ordered and we know what the customer wants, we will slide in the cam, drop on the head, and crate it up. It will be complete, from the oil pan to the induction system, including the customers choice of optional ignition systems. We plan to do the break in on a dyno and provide dyno sheet on every motor so the customer know precisly what he bought. However, that is going to take another chunk of cash, and may be down the road a bit. I talked to several dyno manufacturers while we were at PRI, and a couple of them agreed to watch for a good used one for us, so maybe we'll get lucky and have one in a couple months. Then we just need a shop to put it in. But thats coming too.

wow, sounds like things are startin to kinda take off---with this and the eve of the aluminum head this is an exciting time for inliners to be sure. i personally prefer to do my own, but then im a freek of nature anyway---offering a crate six to the masses can only do good as far as getting the word out on the best engines ever built in dearborn. AND THE DYNO----HUGE/GREAT TOUCH. that gives a lot of us blue collar guys without access to one a very good idea whats goin under the hood. i think the guys here are doin a tremendous job against huge odds because they just truly love these little engines. the grass roots backgound really shines here fellas---by that i mean doing it because ya love it. my hat is off to all of you.
