450CFM Holley

Quick 8

I have a 450 CFM 4160 vacuum secondary carburetor. It has a single inlet with a small transfer tube to the other float bowl.

I would like to change it to dual inlet float bowls.
Can I just buy two new dual inlet float bowls and install them?
Are they fully interchangeable?

Thanks.
Jim

IIRC I have seen parts for changing to dual inlet bowls in the Summit catalog. But, it may depend on which PN you have for the carb as to whether it can be done. There are a bizzillion differnt PN's for the 4160. Try the Holley Techs through their web site. They can probably point you in the right direction.

Ya it can be done quite easily.
Get the Quick Fuel bowls. You'll save over a pound of weight.
And you can put the fuel lines on either side of the bowl.

BTW what is the PN on that carb? Not very many 450 cfm's in the 4160...I think they were mostly dual quad carbs. Just curious.
