I know its been asked before but i cant find the information. Is it possible to put 6 to 2 clifford headers and dual exhaust with A/C, and if so, what mods are necessary in order to achieve this? Or is 6 to 1 the only way to go for headers if you have a/c in your car

yes it can be done. There is post or three on here on the topic. What is needed is that you will need to modify the bracket that the compressor goes on. (Move it farther out) It works better and is easier to do with a aftermarket setup that on the factory 6 cyl compressor bracket. I have not seen how it is done with the factory one.

AZcoupe has some pics on his websie of how he did it.

Tatao,

I plan to make a setup for the factory A/C and headers. I've seen pics and read AZcoupe's article. Since the engine is out of my car, I've got room to work around the header and A/C bracket so they won't interfere. I'll post pics when I'm done.

I have installed headers with factory AC. The bolts that are used to attach the compressor to the bracket. Replace those with studs, and then slot the holes on the bracket, so you can easily slide the compressor out enough to clear the header tube. It is still close, but works good.
