65 vs 67 I6 question Need Answer fast!!!!

a friend has a 65 I6 200. I have a 67 I6 200 that I want to give him to swap into his car. is this going to be a problem? I heard they might have different bellhousings is this true.

He is coming over today to get the engine Dont want to have to go get it back if it wont work.

Just for the record, since I also answered on VMF...your 67 block will fit his 65 bellhousing. Al know more, he should be on before too long.

Saw other reply and sent a thank you. I had just found his site in the Tech section here. I will make sure my friend knows it will work. He is worried about origionality. so he only wanted to use my engine while his is being rebuilt. I think this will let himknow he can use the engine with his bellhousing and trany. Thanks again,
